On February 17, 2016, a car bomb blast killed at least 28 and injured over 60 in Ankara, Turkey. The American-Turkish Council is deeply disturbed by this horrific attack, and urges U.S.-Turkey stakeholders to unite in solidarity against this wrongdoing.
The attack is the second major act of terrorism in two months. We have faith, however, that Turkey will overcome this tragedy stronger than before. The ATC expresses its deepest sympathies to the victims and their families, and encourages the U.S. and Turkey work cooperatively in service of future security, stability, and prosperity. The ATC is proud to stand in the center of the U.S.-Turkey relationship, and we will continue our fervent efforts to urge strong bilateral cooperation during these trying times.
