Patrick L. Anderson is the founder of two US companies and an award-winning author. Mr. Anderson founded Anderson Economic Group in 1996, and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the company. Anderson Economic Group is one of the most recognized boutique consulting firms in the United States, and now operates out of its offices in Chicago, New York, Istanbul, and East Lansing Michigan.
Anderson’s clients have included US states and Canadian provinces such as Michigan, Kentucky, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Ohio and Ontario; international businesses such as Delta Airlines, General Motors, Ford, Porsche Cars North America, and Honda; trade associations including the Turkish Exporters Assembly, the International Mass Retailers Association, Business Leaders for Michigan and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce; utilities such as AT&T and ITC; colleges such as the University of Michigan and the University of Chicago; and franchisees of Anheuser-Busch, Molson, Coors, Miller, Harley-Davidson, Mercedes-Benz, Suzuki, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Lincoln, and Avis.
In 2012, Mr. Anderson founded Supported Intelligence LLC, a data analytics and software company that pioneered the use of innovative recursive methods for making decisions under conditions of risk and uncertainty. Mr. Anderson today serves as chairman of the company.
Mr. Anderson is also the author of over 100 published works, including Economics of Business Valuation from Stanford University Press. Three of his journal articles have been awarded for outstanding writing from the National Association of Business Economics.
Before founding Anderson Economic Group, Mr. Anderson was the deputy budget director for the State of Michigan, and chief of staff for the Michigan Department of State. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a Master of Public Policy degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science.
Mr. Anderson has been recognized by both business and civic groups. The Michigan Chamber of Commerce awarded Mr. Anderson its 2006 Leadership Michigan Distinguished Alumni award for his civic and professional accomplishments, and in 2014, the University Of Michigan Gerald R. Ford School Of Public Policy awarded him their Neil Staebler Award for outstanding professional achievement.
