Nizamettin Derbil is the Chairman of the Energy & Infrastructure Committee of The American Turkish Council.
He is highly trained and experienced in International Relations and Business Development, with capability in a wide geography including Central Asia, Northern Europe, The Balkans, West and Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. He has experience in diverse industry segments with specific focus on trade, investment and infrastructure projects, and building partnerships and strategic alliances with a proven track record of success.
He served as The Commercial Counselor of Norway in Turkey for 8 years promoting bilateral business and trade development from deal origination to closure in Energy, (Oil & Gas) - Renewable Energy, Maritime, ITC, FMCG.
He has over 25 years of professional experience in the field of international trade and business development, business structures, and structuring commercial transactions for French and Swiss multinational companies. He holds a degree in Economics from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA.
He speaks English and French and is married to Gülden Kanatlı Derbil.
