Aziz Sipahi

After receiving Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Electronics Engineering at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Aziz Sipahi has worked in Electronics and Defence Sector for about 30 years. During his business career over 20 years at SIEMENS Turkey, he has taken management responsibilities at various divisions in electronics and communications area, and was in charge of Defence Electronics Division between the years 1992-1998 and of Enterprise Communication Division between the years 1998-2005.

As of July 2005, he has been back in Defence Sector and taken over the General Management of VESTEL Defence Group of companies; AYESAS (Aydin Yazilim ve Elektronik San. A.S.) which is a Joint Venture of ZORLU Group (Turkish Holding active in Textile, Energy, Consumer Goods, Mining and Property Development) and L-3 Communications, and as well VESTEL Defence Industry Inc.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of both companies and SASAD (Defence and Aerospace Industry Manufacturers Association). He can speak English, German and has three children.
